We just sold our house in the US and without homeowners insurance we can not have our smaller policies with our insurance company. We are in need of renters insurance for our apartment in Budapest and storage insurance for our household goods in Minnesota. Does anyone have any advise?Kim

We had auto and renter's insurance through State Farm before we moved
here, and after we sold the car and moved we were able to maintain our
renter's insurance for our storage stuff by giving our agent a
friend's address in the state where our stuff is stored (Illinois).
They needed an address for us in the state, although they knew that we
don't live at that address. I got the impression that the agent was
bending the rules for us, but you might try emailing your former agent
to see if they'll do something like this for you.
I hope it helps!
Best,
Corrin
