Dear mums,

Please could anyone tell me what the Hungarian translations for nutritional yeast and agar powder might be?

Trying to make cheese substitutes as my daughter is allergic to dairy.

Thanks x

Dear Natalie,

Nutritional yeast means "étkezési élesztő" and agar powder means "agar por". You can buy them in Bio shops. As far as I know some of the dry yeast could contain some kind of dairy ingredients so make it sure and check the package.

Hope it helps,
Noemi

hey Natalie,

As a vegan I use nutritional yeast a lot, and the name I've found it under in Hungarian shops is "sörélesztő pehely".

Not sure about agar powder.

Hope this helps.
