Hello,

I posted earlier about the availability of First Response Early Result
tests in Budapest.

I've ready about other tests, such as the 10mIU Wondfo tests.

Does anyone know if these types of tests are possible to buy
immediately in Budapest?

I have only managed to buy the 25-50 mIU HCG tests in the stores here
and I don't want to wait to order the First Response or Wondfo tests
from the UK or US :)

Thanks

J.

Pharmacies sell 10mlU tests. Just go there and ask for it:).

Great! Thanks! I've only tried DM or Muller and I assumed they sold
the same inside the pharmacies.

I'll go into a pharmacy today and buy it!

Thanks again!

I asked a friend, and she gave me three brands that are 10mlU pregnancy tests, Qupido, Amazon plus, Illa.
I hope find one of these at the pharmacy:).

I also had problems with finding 10mIU tests here in Budapest. I remember though buying a test called "Early Predictor" with 12mIU HCG sensitivity.

Good luck!

Hi, I can also suggest if u want quick result and u want to know for sure go to the private lab on the 4th floor of Mammuth II. they give the result of ur blood test in a couple of hours max. and the hormon test from the blood if way much more reliable then urine one and shows the pregnancy much earlier. I do not trust these urine tests because many times my hcg level were high up (but like over a 1000) and it did not show !!!! They are sort of reliable only.If u want to be sure, blood test.I used that lab many times they are nice and cheap as well. good luck!Venus.

Great thanks!

Do you know the name of them?
What is the cost of the test?
Can the test only be carried out after the two week wait or is it OK to do now that I am 13 DPO?

Thanks Venus,

That was really good advice and I have been there and had the blood test.

I also just walked into there without an appointment and was seen within minutes.

The setup of the consultation room (which overlooks the actual laboratory) is impressive.

In case anyone is interested (or is looking at this messages through the archives in the future) the cost is now 3000 HUF.

They said I will have the results before this evening (via email).

Thanks

Hi Venus,

The price is not a problem, as my husband was even considering going on a Wizair to Vienna or London to buy the First Response test ;) so you have actually saved us money!

Yes of course!

I have a feeling that my period is imminent now (even though I have had a bunch of other early pregnancy symptoms this month).

I don't really know the difference between what is "usual" and what isn't :)

It'll be just my luck for my period to start as I am waiting for the results! :)

Thanks for the support guys!

Unfortunately it was negative! boooo!
And as anticipated, my period started about 20 minutes after the PDF was sent to my mailbox! :)

Better luck this month!

Just a few months, we've been married for 7 years but only decided to try "properly" recently.

Sorry to hear that. Just try to relax and not focus on it. Forget about the temperature, tests and all kind of stuff that you are trying and forget about trying to get pregnant and it will work. Worked with me, when i gave up on everything and accepted the fact that it might never happen to me, i fell pregnant..:)
...or go to Mauritius, there is a saying that everyone concieve a child there, or gets a stomach bug...:) We got both, i fell pregnant after 4 years of trying and my hubby had a terrible bug...:)

Fingers crossed,
B.

It's true. :) It takes most couples about a year to get pregnant after they start trying. Is there any reason you're going the scientific way? Do you know you have fertility problems?

I'll have to work on hubby for that one. Would Balatonfüred or Szentendre work? ;)

In this highly connected, instant messaging, ultra fast world I want it NOW ;)

We are both quite geeky and like the statistics, science and associated research.

Do you know you have fertility problems?

Not that I know of. Actually, my husband has done his own sperm count in his home lab the other day (no joke) :)

If you, or anyone else is interested, I have a bunch of Ovulation test sticks that I no longer require (I am now happily pregnant). I think they will expire in the coming months, so no use to keep hold of them. Just let me know! They were greatly useful for me as I have sometimes irregular periods and it was impossible to guess the best time of the month to try. They give a positive result when you have a hormone surge (linked to ovulation beginning & release of egg). Then you just get busy with the fizzy in the bedroom and hope for the best!

Oh yes please! I've been using the ones from Muller until now.

Bubibee; some one actually already messaged me privately to ask for them, but she is happy to share them as she only needs a few and I have about 8 still.
They are Clearblue make, so pretty decent, but they are marked to expire this month (I'm sure they would still be fine for another month though!)

Whereabouts do you live, or where is good for meeting up. I am in the XII district, but my hubby works in the city centre in V. I am often driving around in II too.

And yes indeed - British 80's child! That's me!! :)

Hey, no worries let her have them - I have some of the generic strip ones left (they work for me perfectly) and I'm ordering a load of the cheapies from eBay anyhow.
I'm in New York at the end of the month so I can pick up some clearblue ones there.

By the way, if anyone needs anything brought back from Walgreens, Duane Reade (or Sephora ;-) let me know!

Hehe, my Husband is from Wales and he spotted it!
