Hi ladies (mums to be),

I have mentioned to some of you that I am doing prenatal yoga with
Reka Gáborjáni (mum of 3 and also a trained doula) and Reka also does
prenatal one day workshops where you and your partner can pre-live and
practise the birth and labour with yoga exercises/ positions and
breathing for every stage of labour that are the most simple but
really effective and can be easily remembered and bring alive when
it's show time.

Reka lived and trained in the UK and married an Englishman so she
speaks excellent English. Her yoga studio is in Miko utca (off Attila
ut, under the Buda caste, close to the Chain Bridge tunnel and Vermezo
park in the 1st district.)

I know we have had loads of babies popping out recently :) (congrats
again to Andrea and Louise) but I know there are at least 4-5 of us
(that I have met) still due so wondered if this is something you may
be interested in to sign up for? I think this workshop complements our
Reka's theory prenatal classes very well.

I am talking to Reka about possible dates and since I know some of you
are due end of November, early December it would be great to do it in
mid November. The cost is 13.500 Forints per couple and in case you
don't want your partner to attend it's possible to come along on your
own which case the cost is 10.000 Forints.

You can check out Reka's homepage in English here:
http://www.jogaszules.info/en_contact.html
The info about the workshop is only in Hungarian though for the time
being: http://www.jogaszules.info/probaszules.html

Please let me know if you are interested and if yes please send me the
dates that could work for you. Because of the length only weekends are
possible. For me 15 Nov and the weekend of 21 or 22 Nov would work
best.

Many thanks,
Andi

Hi Andi,

This looks like a wonderful opportunity, thanks for passing along the information!

Although I'm interested, I'd like to try and schedule some of Reka Morvay's classes in and then see what's left in my schedule.  However, at this point, the weekend of November 21/22 is open.

Dear Mara and Mums
I am really happy that there will soon be a post-natal yoga workshop and I would love to attend. My baby was born last week (6th October). Mara, I think you said it would be OK to bring him from 4 weeks old onwards?
I just want to say to any Mums who are soon to give birth that yoga was the greatest help for me. I did two classes a week for the last few weeks, plus a birth positions class the weekend before the birth. I was able to use my yoga postures and breathing (combined with hypnotherapy/meditation CDS) for the first 3-4 hours of labour and then the rest of labour was only 2 and a half hours in the hospital. It wasn't entirely pain-free (!) but it was manageable and almost spiritual in parts! It might be my imagination, but my tummy has also shrunk back quickly within a week, and I am sure the yoga helped with that too...
Best wishes to everyone and hope to meet some of you in the yoga classes with Mara.
Melanie

Hi Mara, Melanie,

Thanks for your replies. Melanie congratulations on the birth of your
baby, it is so encouraging to hear that yoga helped you in so many
ways. Was this your first birth? 6 hours altogether is pretty
amazing :)

Mara - that's great. Let's aim for 21/ 22 November for this yoga
workshop. As I said I would like to attend Reka Morvay's classes as
well (for now the nr 2 and 3 classes and looking forward to receiving
the November dates as I am away at those Oct weekends) but if I
understood correctly hers are more theory with powerpoint
presentations etc rather then actual practise workshops unless I
misunderstood?

Hi ladies,

I have spoken to Reka Gáborjáni and as I mentioned to some of you
already she can't do the 21 Nov as she only has time every second
weekend due to the babysitting arrangements for the Saturday.

The 28th Nov will be too late for Mara and Jackie unfortunately and my
partner won't be in Hungary that weekend either so we are looking to
hold this on Saturday, the 12 December.

Let me know who is interested.

Alternatively if we can't work the Saturday we could try to schedule
something for a Friday morning if you have time.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Andi
