Hi Everyone,

My mommy battery is running really low so my hubby was kind enough to grant me a kid-free weekend. Now I just have to figure out where to go. Any suggestions?
I need some place not too expensive or far away (I will have to leave the car for the family) so somewhere do-able by train/bus or public transport.

Other wise I'll just book a hotel room and sleep for 3 days :)

BTW if someone needs a break too and wants to do a moms weekend...maybe a wellness weekend, I'll be happy to have company. I'm free the first weekend in June (May 31st, June 1-3 or there about).

My first thought is Visegrád, it is close enough and I have found looking at bodies of water quite therapeutic.

You can visit Vác (great for trips with bike), Esztergom, Visegrád, all are great places! Small, perfect for a long weekend. For info on any place visit szallas.hu, you can find there information on booking, facilities etc. I can help you with translation if needed.

Hi Dorothy,

Szentendre could be also a great place for you to stay. It's very close (you can take the HÉV from Batthyány square), small, beautiful and there are lots of things to see. :))
I wish you a very nice and long long long weekend!

Emese
