help: pepto bismol?

Could anyone please let me know where I could buy Pepto Bismol in Budapest? Or do pharmacies sell it (or anything similar)?

You can buy Maalox brand antacid products, if it's the antacid properties of Pepto Bismo you want. Otherwise, the only thing I was able to find is that the main ingredient is bismuth subsalycilát in Hungarian. You might be able to get a pharmacy to make you a suspension... when I searched for this ingredient in google, a few articles came up for treating gastrointestinal upset, but I wasn't able to find a brand name in Hungary.

Tummy trouble medications we use:

Adults: 1) probiotic (restores good bacteria in intestines) called Pro Bio, capsules, no prescription necessary, 2) Imodium anti-diarrheal is same as in US, no prescription

Kids: 1) probiotic Pro Gastro Kid+ (aka Pro Kid+), a flavorless powder you put in yogurt or a warm drink, 2) Smecta, also a powder, acts against diarrhea without medication, my kids like it in chocolate or vanilla pudding or yogurt

All are available at any pharmacy. Feel better!
