Greetings Hashers!  Date For Your Diary...

Incredible Hulk will be haring the Almadi Hash on Aug 1st again this year.

Train from Deli Pu at 10:30 Saturday morning will take you directly to the start (no bus planned this year). More than one beer stop, and a palinka stop are planned :-)

Distance less than 10k, no mountains, so the knackered old hashers like me can do it.

Incredible Hulk will be your hare for the day, Paprika Smiley and Toxic Dick will be part of the events!

Update Info for Hashers:

Balaton Outstation Hash 2026 - Saturday 1st August, ending in Almadi. Train from Deli Pu at 10:30 (Train 19734) getting off at Balaton Fuzfo (at 12:15). 

The train is the one that goes to Balatonfured, you need buy a ticket and a seat reservation (for over 65s, just reserve a seat or you get fined). Don’t forget to get off at Fuzfo!!!

Trail: Under trees for much of the route, with 3 (three) beer stops (at bars, ice cream also available) and a Palinka stop. We finish at Paprika Smileys where there is draft beer. 

Hares are Inc Hulk & PS.

There is just one trail (no long runners route unless I get a special request before Thursday). The route has no steep sections, it’s pretty flat. It will be about 8 km total.

We try to keep you hydrated, carrying a water bottle is advisable as it will be hot and sunny. Also hats and sun cream etc are strongly advisable.

The 1st beer & ice cream stop is ~200m from the station so you can recover from the train journey!

We do not plan a luggage car, you will carry any bags you have (if this is a problem, shout!).

Trains back to Bp from Almadi at 19:29, 20:51, 21:21, 22:28 & 00:09. Station is ~15 min walk from Paprika Smileys.

Reminder from last year, train tickets are valid for later, not earlier trains than booked!

Balaton Outstation Hash Update

It seems that Balatonfuzfo has a Gombócfesztivál (Gombócfesztivál Balatonfűzfő 2026 - Programturizmus) on Saturday, where the Hash starts. To arrive 30 mins earlier to visit the festival, you can take the earlier train 10:03 from Kelenfold (Szabolcs Tejergo) which goes to Balatonfured, but you get on at Kelenfold, it does not leave from Deli Pu. Get off at Balaton Fuzfo.  The gombocfestival is close to the railway station, but come back to the station to the Tutti frutti Fagyizó for the first beer stop (they have 2 or 3 draft beers) for ~12:15 when the other train arrives.

Alternatively take the 10:30 train as previously recommended, from Deli Pu (few mins later from Kelenfold) and get off at Balatonfuzfo at 12:15.

The trail starts at the railway station, and after 200m is the first beer stop.

I was told that Genital Man will join the hash, so instead of just 3 beer stops we added a 4th (plus the palinka stop). Hopefully this will be enough to survive the hot weather!

We selected a trail to be largely under trees where possible, it is advisable to bring a water bottle and hat/sun protection. Total length about 8km, plus false trails for the FRBs (they must kick-it-out for the slow geriatrics!!).

The trail is pretty flat, hardly any steps or hills, so it is good for the knackered old hashers.

Paprika Smileys and myself did the trail this evening to make sure all is good. The small bars will be looking forward to greeting the hashers !!!
