Hail to Hashers in Budapest,

Connie (Bad Habit) came up with the brilliant idea to have a meeting for improving the lately rather poor turnout and mismanagement levels of BPH3.

Friday (28/February/2025, from 18:00 and on-on) is the tentative date of this hash social meeting, so far.

(Unless the date has to be changed again.../:+))

Regarding the venue, I spared no time, effort and beer to find (by test tasting) a suitable location and have found a good one, I think, a rusty retro suburban beer bar bringing back the sincerely tough - yet unpaired - atmosphere of the 70-ies, the legendary REGE SÖRÖZŐ pub.

Some of the favorable features of the place:

- Easy approach by public transport, only walking distance from the ÚJBUDA-KÖZPONT stop of M4 metro line and/or trams No. 4, 17, 41, 47, respectively, not to mention a number of regional and blue bus lines also stopping there.

- (This next feature may be advantageous only for me: It's hardly more than crawling distance to my home.../:+))

- No live band but soft background music only, resulting in acceptable hearing and understanding conditions around the large rectangular tables.

- Polite self-service at reasonable prices. (800.- HUF for a pint of Dreher...)

- Puritan kitchen, that is chips, nuts, few finger-foods and only some simple sandwiches for eating.

- Mostly friendly alcoholics around.

Just to be on the safe side, I have made a preliminary reservation for a 12 seats table, to be confirmed (or cancelled?) soon.
