Greetings All !

Tomorrow's Hashy weather forecast is 8 hours of beautiful sunshine - so the RA is already doing a fantastic job of ensuring good weather for this memorial hash!

A few notes:
So far, nobody seems to want the very short easy trail (~4km on the flat) so I probably won't mark it, but if anyone does want to do it, Haggis will guide those decrepit ones who can't manage the hills.
For the 6.8 km easy trail for walkers and runners, there is one hill to go up which may be muddy, so some walkers might be better if they bring walking poles, to save getting a muddy arse.
For the FRBs, an extra loop of ~3+km will be set.
For lazy buggers who go straight to the pub; they are expecting a group of about 20, booked by someone called David, so you can tell them you are with the group (they did say they will have chairs & tables for us) - you can enjoy the spectacle of the sausage-making contest before the hashers arrive (not suitable viewing for vegetarians :-)

See you tomorrow on the platform at Biatorbagy for the Hash listen-up instructions.
Bring the words Rabies produced for the memorial to sing in the circle!

The funeral of Burnt Toast was yesterday, with an online video link (a recording will be available for those who would like to see it). Our dear Sunny Side Up will still be in the UK tomorrow, but we promised to send her some photos from the memorial hash (Haggis will gather photos if you make some good ones).

Greetings Hashers!

I have got a lot of positive feedback for setting a Biatorbagy hash on 30th November. Since I just had a big birthday I thought it was a good time to set a trail, and with the recent passing of our dear Burnt Toast, I suggest we make this a Memorial Hash for departed Hashers.
So I have been out to check the route, so I will be setting the following route options:

For Walkers, Whimps and Past-it-old-farts:
Short easy trail of 4.0 Km, with plenty of short-cut possibilities, unlikely to be muddy. Pretty flat, even possible for a wheel-walking support!

For Faster Walkers and Runners:
Easy route of 6.8 km, including some hills and small forest paths (muddy if wet).

If any proper runners want an additional loop, if 6.8k is too short, just let me know at least a week before the 30th and I will put an extra ~2 km loop for FRBs (I already checked it out).

ON-IN and Circle is at the Serhaz in Biatorbagy. We have been there a couple of times with the hash and the beer quality has been very attractive! They also do good bar food/snacks. I went there today and warned them to expect about 20 people in the afternoon (please let me know if you are coming, I should let the brewery know if we have much more or less than 20!).

Details:
Walker & Runners: Meet at Biatorbagy railway station. Take the train at 11:25 from Deli, or 11:32 from Kelenfold (journey is 12 mins from Kelenfold). Ticket is 500Ft (or free for geriatrics).
For non-walkers, best to take the bus from Kelenfold [Bus 760/31 ( Budapest, Kelenföld vasútállomás  -  Etyek, Botpuszta] which leaves Kelenfold hourly, at 33 past the hour. It takes 38 mins to get to Vasút utca, Biatorbagy (only ~50m from the Serhaz).

We will have a circle including a memorial song for those departed who are now hashing with the angels.

I tried to include the email address for the ex/rare hashers who may not be on the WhatsApp group (I will put the info on WhatsApp) but if you think there are others I missed who would enjoy a walk/run/beer and will not be offended by our irreverent manner to celebrate the departed, then PLEASE share this with them.
