A Hash Run in Budapest on 12_October_2025, Sunday???

Visitor NFL (Nipples For Life) wanted to participate this BPH3 Run earlier, according to my hash records.

(It would be BPH3's No.#1852, if Hash Runs with zero attendance would also count...)

Let's not let her down!

If nobody volunteers to hare in the meantime, shall we just meet as usual on Sundays, that is riverside Batthyány square at 11:30, and see there what we can do in this regard?

Hash Trash on BPH3 Run No. #1852 in Budapest on 12_October_2025, Sunday.

By 11:30 at the hash meeting place (Batthyány square) thousands of Budapest Marathon runners passed by along the Danube West Bank, but some Hash Runners had gathered there, too, all together seven of them:

An exceptionally sympathetic French hash family, (Tiny Tool, Dominatrix, Assterix, Kakaphonix), plus Tiger Boobs, Dreher-DHL and your humble scribe, Rabies.

Visitor-to-be Nipples For Life unfortunately disappeared in the Marathoning mob, we could see only a few fb messages signed by NFL, but not the person.

Indeed nice weather we had, mostly sunny, a bit too windy, true, yet almost ideal for hashing.

The Run started from the tiny little grocery shop at the hilltop terminus of bus 11.

Instead of collecting hash fees, there I advised the hashers to purchase all the hash necessaries for themselves, beverages, flour, etc., everything whatever they might need during and after the Run.

Recognizing the familiar looking site we arrived to, DHL decided to take over the leadership and declared himself to be the hare of the day, although only in a flourless "follow me" way.

It took him just a few minutes to get lost for the first time in the forest, to be followed by a few more times later, but after every getting lost we were always found, sooner or later, finally arriving to the first spectacular view point from the top of Apáthy rock.

The next stop was at the famous 130-plus years old Lebanese cedar tree in a garden at Kondor utca, and that was the end of the pretty short official part of the Hash, because DHL wanted to leave early.

(His girlfriend is not a friend of hashing, as it was explained...)

Before leaving DHL was punished well in a quick Hash Circle Ceremony, as deserved, just like all the other attendants.

(For instance, we ran short on beer very soon, since - despite my earlier advice at the start - nobody purchased beer, so at the end I had to share my only one can of Staropramen with all of them.../:+(()

The rest of the trail was an unofficial yet pleasant hash walk under the trees just turning into beautiful autumn colors, down to Hűvösvölgy valley, passing by the tomb of an unknown Hungarian soldier, some WW2 bunkers, the wonderful view spot on top of Homokhegy hill and the Hármashatárhegy Air Field for glider planes.

Due to the harsh wind the planes couldn't take off, so this time the air field was fulfilling its secondary function alone, namely as the largest dog toilet of Budapest, maybe of the whole world...
