Greetings Hashers young and old! An Update for you for this Hash on Sunday 29th June (NEXT SUNDAY):

Take a train S10 from Kelenfold at 11:32 to Biatorbagy or 11:25 from Deli (if late, you can follow trail to catch up - trains are every 30 mins). Hash trail is now 8.3 km with no steep parts (photo of steepest hill attached - it is a bit tiring but not steep) - plus false trails. Much of the trail has tree cover, but a 25 min section in the middle has no trees - WEATHER WARNING!!! The forecast is 34C - so wide-brim hats, sun cream and bottles of water etc are essential !!!!!
There is no shop on trail, so you need to bring everything with you.

I needed to add a half km to the route after a farmer warned me his dogs 'don't like strangers'. So we don't go near that part - the whole route is dog friendly if they can stand the heat - it is a nice trial away from any previous hashes - deep in the country (I spotted birds I have not seen in a long time - it is undisturbed countryside). About 1 km from the end, there is a public water fountain - but on the hot trail there is no source of water or drinks.

We finish at the excellent beer place: https://serhaz.hu/sorok/  for circle and more beer (a buy-your-own circle). Also, close by (opposite the bus stop) there is a bakery where they sell cold drinks and icecream.

To get back to BP, just 50m from the pub is a bus going to Kelenfold (35 mins ride, once per hour usually at 7 mins past the hour). The pub closes at 18:00. Or walk 1.5km to the train station, trains every 30 mins.

IF THERE ARE RUNNERS - please let me know well in advance, I have a potential route, but I need to check it out and set trail.
[NOTE: so far I have no runners, so if you run either you get to the pub early, or let me know before the end of Friday, and I will set an extra runners loop]

For old farts not wanting to do the hash trail, take the 760 bus from Kelenfold to Vasut ut, Biatorbagy, where you need to walk about 30m to the pub (or take the train and walk about 1.5 km to pub). There are other buses into Biatorbagy that stop within 200m of the pub.

The route & circle together should be less than 3 hrs, but it is not in Budapest centre! Transport back to Kelenfold is easy (hourly bus, or the train is every 30 mins).

Beer prices are very much better than city centre for quality draft :-)

PS: Do not forget, the Balaton Hash 26th July (a Saturday) - if there will be runners I need to know to set a runner trail!!!

PPS: I put this info on the FB page - but it got deleted by the FB system for some reason :-(   PLEASE - can someone add this to FB and to Whatsap pages of the BP3H???

Dear Hulk,

Thank you for the update.

I don’t know why your Facebook post didnt go through. There is no post approval turned on for anyone in the group. But Titty Tata copy pasted it out of kindness.
May I suggest you rejoin our WhatsApp group? Here is the link. We would be honoured.
