Hash Trash Report on the Sunday Run of BPH3, No. #1892(?) on 19/July/2026

The fresh "WhatsApp" news came in Sunday morning:
   quote
There’s a visitor on her way to Batthyany ter, just saying:
“checking the time to see if the hash is on-on.
I'm taking the gamble and coming on mass transit.
Cheers.
Udderly Slutterly"

All my grandchildren were out of town vacationing somewhere else, so this Sunday again I could go to hash, and I did.
At the standard BPH3 Meeting Spot (Batthyány square) I found only one more hasher, the temporarily (and partly) lame poor Deborah, aka visitor Udderly Slutterly, ie. US from the US.
Some people go hashing for the workout, some others for socializing, some for gossiping, some for finding a partner of the opposite sex (possibly not opposing sex), some for the company to sing and drink beer with, some just for the fun of it, or any combination of the aboves.
At this age of mine nowadays I go hashing mainly to maintain my English only.
And US proved to be a first class teacher, as far as understanding her American English (at supersonic speed) was concerned.
Without having to speak back too much, just nodding yes or no, possibly at the right timing.
Admitting the truth, later a few beers helped understanding a lot, I think.
And she did keep on talking, to me and to AI, alternately.
Big Thank You for the ceaseless lesson, Dear US!/:+))
Sometimes limping, sometimes rushing, the two of us went together to the Budapest Zoo in City park, since she wanted to see animals, her main interest.
After this quite unusual Hash Run a mini Circle Ceremony was held by the MŰPA concert hall, on her way to visit Ludwig Museum inside the building.
A sudden cloud-burst delayed (and soaked) us on the last 50 metres to the gate, however, at the end of the day we were allowed in.
Next to many-many other activities and hobbies of hers, US is writing books, too.
She showed me a chapter of one of her books, which practically was an elevated essay on Hashing in a Third World country.
I asked her (and she promised) to share it with the community of BPH3, too.
Yes, I definitely do think that it is high time to put our hep-hazard hashing practices on some sound principal basis.
On-On, Rabies

Dear One More Trail,
Thanks for writing to me in French, the language I'm rather poor at, to admit the truth.
The same is true for applying AI to translate it for me.
(I'm practically a digital illiterate, as you may know.../:+))
However, from a distance your French message looks very much like a heartwarming compliment to me.
Big Thank You, if so!/:+))
On-On, Rabies
