Hello Hashers!

Join us for the relaunch of the Bratislava Hash!  Hurrah!!!

We've spent millions of EU funds over the past three years smartening up our 9th century Baroque Castle, the Philharmonic's Concert Hall, the National Theatre, the National Ballet and adding new Danube river front developments at Eurovea and Riverpark (with even more cafes and restaurants!) all for this event.  Bratislava's looking stunning - come and see for yourself and have some HASH FUN!!!

Let us entertain you...

• Start the weekend with a Friday night pub crawl in and around the beautiful Old Town; we'll finish up at the "we close when the last person crawls out" hash pub with a free shot for all.  Local hashers are rehearsing this trail weekly on your behalf...we love you but we love the CHEAP BEER even more!

• Run, walk or stroll through the wonderful sights of Bratislava on Saturday afternoon's hash run

• Dine at one of Bratislava's most iconic venues with stunning views across Slovakia, Hungary and Austria!  We've secured exclusive use of the 'Parlamentka Restaurant', up at the newly restored Bratislava Castle.  (http://www.parlamentka.eu)  
  For those still standing, on on to the Bratislava night life!!!

• Relax on Sunday morning with an easy hangover run...we promise.

• Be a hash tourist!  Experience a unique view of the Old Town Square from inside the clock tower.  Enter the brand new City Hall Museum but don't linger; pass by the exhibits and go straight up to the top to look down on the tourists wondering 'how did they get up there?'! (Optional hash meetup for Saturday morning @ 5Euros per person; no need to book.)

All this for only 59 Euros if you register before 8 June!  Spaces are limited so book now!

How do I register?  Simple, read the attached reg form and drop us an email with your details/hash info and pay online.

Where do I stay?  Simple, we're suggesting you book your own hotel. Go onto lastminute.com or skoosh.com for great deals especially if you're sharing with your favourite hash buddy. Hotels close to the weekend's hash activities include The Park Inn (best value for location), the Radisson Carlton, Art Hotel William, The Arcadia (bit pricey), Marrols Hotel, Hotel Michalska Brana and more.  Stay in/close to the Old Town and everything will be within walking distance.

How do I get to Bratislava?  As a RyanAir destination it's CHEAP flights for all or a quick rail/road trip.  The airport is 9km from the city centre and we have an excellent local cab company with an online booking facility for transfers into the city.  

Where do I find more information?  We're using email and Facebook.  Either join 'Bratislava Hash House Harriers' on Facebook or our 'BlavaHash' Yahoo group for up to date information.  (Our Blavahash website died even though it's still floating in the ethernet so we'll get to that in a while!)
