Updates (all from hare Incredible Hulk) on the Memorial Hash on the 30th Nov:

I just had a call from the Serház with good news and bad news.
They have a sausage making event starting at 9:00 and it is not sure when they will finish.
This could mean a limited number of seating available, but they will be selling wonderful cooked sausages!
Since we will have the circle outside, we should have plenty of space for that.

PS Take train 11:25 from Déli, (or 11:32 from Kelenföld), S10 going to Győr - get off at Biatorbágy.
_________
Some more update (also from Incredible Hulk):
The owner of Serház called back and spoke to Haggis (easier in Hungarian)..
He says don’t worry, he will fit us in OK.
Extra tables/chairs will be organised for us.
So I hope my estimate of about 20 people is correct.
(if not, you guys will need to drink more of his delicious beer to make up for it)

Transport Details: Train S10 from Deli or Kelenfold (11:25 or 11:32) - it is the train for Győr.
Last time we had a lost hasher who was not sure which train to take...
Price is 500Ft, or free for geriatrics.
The start will be on the platform when the train arrives in Biatorbágy (12 mins from Kelenföld).
For those who are too drunk/decrepit to walk can go directly to the ONIN:
Take the bus from Kelenföld [Bus 760/31 ( Budapest, Kelenföld vasútállomás - Etyek, Botpuszta] which leaves Kelenföld hourly, at 33 past the hour.
It takes 38 mins to get to the Vasút utca stop, Biatorbágy (only ~50m from the Serház).

Hello all

Every hash group has its traditions. One of the most frequently cited traditions of BH3 and the one that is, IMHO, the most often applied is that the last person to arrive at the departure meeting point must write the day's hash trash. It is in keeping with this tradition, that Dicky Flasher, well-known for his expertise in IT and artificial intelligence, was appointed Hash Scribe for the BPH3 Memorial Hash Run No. #1859 which was held on Sunday, November 30, 2025 in Biatorbágy. However some two weeks have now passed and we are still without a proper (or not) Trash of the day's outing. What happened to our faithful hash scribe is indeed a mystery. Did Dicky Flasher have an accident? With the arrival of the Christmas season, is he overwhelmed with the responsibility of managing the very many office parties being held at this time of year while simultaneously being overloaded with the responsibility of buying Christmas presents for all his loved ones? Was his ChatGPT account closed?

The agony of suspense remains, as does the risk of deception, because the limits of human memory recall while under the influence of alcohol are being pushed to the limit! Since I was present, and I can no longer bear the continung suspense of waiting for the trash, I have decided to appoint myself as the day's stand-in scribe. All and any comments and corrections are welcome, of course.

The hare par excellence of the day was the Incredible Hulk and his charming spouse. The following Hashers, Harriers and Harriettes were present[*] :
Lady muck8
Ran by battery
Genital man
Incredible Hulk
Red Harring
NFN Roy
Haggins
NFN Marina
Tity Tata
Rabies
One More trail
OH La La
Web Fucker
NFHN Vajk
Pussy Peddlar
Eager Beaver
NFHN Marta
Dickey Flasher

[*] The list above was prepared by Dickey Flasher (at my suggestion). I made a few corrections but it probably needs more :)

The turn out was indeed exceptional and the hash was INCREDIBLE ! The day was almost perfect. The skies were partly clouded but there was some sunshine. There was no wind or no rain, and the hares had scheduled a much needed palinka stop so that we could refuel directly during the greuling 6.8 km trail. Of course there was an extra loop for the runners - one which was one : Web Fucker plus one walker runer - yours trully.

After leaving Biatorbágy, the trail was positioned between Nap-hegy and Kozép-hegy, along Forrá Völgyi-patak. The runners' loop was positioned on fairly flat farmland populated by cows and sheep. Some of the animals were surprised to see us. Some were afraid, while others thought we were there to feed them.

I was the last person to arrive at the refueling point, but it was okay because the Incredible Hulk still had some palinka to give me. :) He was even kind enough to offer me a refill. A true hasher gentleman indeed! I had to drink it quickly however because the hashers, harriers, and harriettes were thirsty and eager to set off for the Serház Bar [**]. Many had already left.

During the Circle Ceremony Incredible Hulk was RA seconded by Rabies. The Ceremony started with the lyrics of the Memorial Song, the hash version of the "Silent Night" carol.

After the Circle Ceremony while we were in the restaurant, NFHN Vajk was finally given a Hash name. Too many names were suggested during the discussion for me to recall them all. I can only recall a few: Stevie Wonder, Rain Man, and Baby Face. However, suddenly, out of nowhere, someone proposed the name "Third Dog," Later when it was mentioned during the vote the hashers went absolutely wild!!!. There was absolutely no doubt at all — "Third Dog" it was.

Serház bar did not have any Dutch food (hot dogs) on the menu but it did have excellent saugages and plenty of quality craft beer at a very reasonable price: For more details see : https://serhaz.hu/sorok/

Near the end of our meal another hasher "Hanging Branch" arrived out of nowhere.

Too bad if you missed this hash but you only have yourself to blame!

Thanks OMT !!!!!

An excellent report, but you should have more fabrications to meet the hashy traditions :-)       Your memory is slightly nostalgic; the runners trail went around the edge of an f-ing big field (about 500m x 400m, so you can estimate the circumference) which was a bit cruel of the hare (especially with a long false trail in one corner). But the palinka is very healing, as is the excellent beer of Serhaz :-)

I have had a number of requests to do another Biatorbagy hash - so I will look early in the new year. I did find plenty of unexplored tracks that seemed to be ideal hashing territory - and the lure of the Serhaz seems to be irresistible to many a Hasher (and non-hashers alike who went directly to the brewery). Sunny Side Up would like to attend, so we would again be celebrating our dear Burnt Toast.

I will try to give plenty of notice of a date once I have an idea for the route.
