Hash Trash Report on the Sunday Run of BPH3, No. #1880(?) on 26/April/2026
On 18_April_2026 Kinga PP made a kind of a volunteering offer for haring, like this:
"I had to go to the countryside 3 weekends in a row.
But this Sunday I am cumming!
Also I will be a live Hare if no one else is planning a trail."
And she did accordingly, so this Sunday - finally - we could have a kind of a Hash Run in Budapest, amongst almost perfect weather conditions.
Why just a kind of?
Well, instead of the usual flour blob marks on a hash trail, for instance, Hare PP was just yelling out verbal instructions from far behind, such as which touristic trail signs to follow, where to make a turn to the left or to the right, and the sort.
Our hardly more than 5 km long hash trail started from "Hedvig utca" stop of bus 137 in Óbuda, went up to the Gückler Károly lookout on top of HHH Hill and a Beer Stop in the nearby Hangár Bistro, then ended up down, at the upper terminus of bus 65, next to the pretty posh Fenyőgyöngye restaurant.
Besides live Hare PP (and her two doggy hash beasts) and my humbly rabid self as the last one, (i.e. Rabies), the following hashers showed up, first at the standard BPH3 riverside meeting spot, that is Batthyány square:
- Oh-La-La
- One More Trail
- Titty Tata
- Cuming Frequently
- Rambone
Rambone arrived by riding proudly a cool-looking MTB, but soon he rode off and vanished for the rest of the Hash, unfortunately.
There was one more mysteriously invisible hasher, Tania (On Time?).
Rumor says that - instead of hashing with the pack - she went straight to the Fenyőgyöngye resto at the end of our hash trail.
On the trail we had met another unexpected hasher coming to us from the opposite direction, out of the blue, or rather out of the greenery, PP's Third Dog, aka Vajk.
He tried to explain to us the reason for his sudden appearance, using three different languages, English, French and Hungarian.
Maybe it was my fault, but for me none of these languages helped understanding.
Sorry...
Singing a "Father Abraham" on the way up to the Gückler Károly lookout, plus performing the "Hash Hymn" to finish the hash in front of Fenyőgyöngye resto, I have no information about the rest of the Run, such as a formal Hash Circle ending ceremony, if there was any at all, because right after the Hash Hymn - together with Oh-La-La and One More Trail - the three of us took the very next bus taking us back to civilization.
It means that I have no information about eventual volunteer hare(s) for the upcoming Sundays, neither.
On the bus OMT seemed inclined to hare the Sunday Hash due on 10_May_2026, but before this date it has to be confirmed one more time by One More Trail.
However, there is no news on any volunteer hare(s) for the 03_May_2026 Sunday Hash.
All I know is that I'll be busy yogic laughing on that day.
