Online social tools like Facebook, Twitter, and Yelp are changing the
way businesses interact with their employees, as well as, their
customers. Over the past few weeks, Montgomery County, PA has been
getting quite a bit of snow. What I saw from that was a ton of
business owners turning to social tools to inform customers and
employees about store closings or late openings. I even used Twitter &
Facebook the other day to inform followers that my hosting company had
a server down, so my blog was down as well.

Winter storms(s) 2010 inspired me to expand a bit on the subject of
using online social tools to connect with both employees and customers
during emergency situations. You can read the blog here if you're
interested: http://bit.ly/93QEmP

I'd love to hear if any of you have been using online social tools to
communicate with employees and/or customers during emergency
situations.

Best,
