Although some business owners still have not taken time to fully learn
the power of Twitter, I definitely think it's one of the best online
social tools out there for small businesses today. Are you currently
using Twitter to connect with prospects and customers, to spread your
blog/video/audio content to the world, and/or to promote your products
and services?

If you use Twitter, then you know that having someone ReTweet your
tweet is a big deal. It helps get you exposure and positions you as a
thought-leader in your space. Most of the time, getting ReTweeted
comes down to the quality of the content within your tweet. If you're
always tweeting about specials and trying to sell people, you probably
won't get many ReTweets. If the majority of your tweets are
educational in nature, with some promotional tweets mixed in, you'll
probably see an uptick in ReTweets.

With the above being said, content isn't the only thing that plays a
role in ReTweets. I wrote a recent blog post on the power of not using
all 140 characters in your tweets: http://bit.ly/beOJNV As most of you
know, Twitter only allows for 140 characters for each tweet. If you
limit your tweets to 125 characters, you will be in a better position
for getting ReTweeted. Check out the blog post to learn why that is.

Do you use Twitter for business?
