11/4 07:10 : 8 (4 males, 4 females.) Ring Ouzel : Steps Hill.
Initially the remaining 7 from previous days (4males, 3 females) but just after 8am a female clearly migrating arrived high from the south-east and came down on the same bank. The birds are on the north slope, immediately as you leave the main car park towards the sheep pens. Best to walk around the hill to view up from the bottom to save flushing them. There is amongst them an old female that looks a bit 'male' like and a male with a grey nape.
Mike Wallen.
