6/1 10:30 : Probable Red-throated Diver : Wolverton Mill, Stony Stratford SP801416.
Noted Cormorant looking bird that appeared too slender, lifted bins and was a diver species, very thin necked, sharp winged, quick wing beats. Overall impression was red-throated diver, seemed grey above, pale below, but couldn't rule out Black throated in short viewing (5-10 seconds at most). Bird was flying over canal towards floodplain forest direction, viewed from old lock below canal.
