Nelek sunk onto a stool.
"I don't know if I'll ever be able to face your family again."
"I don't even think I can," Aislyn commented, slamming bowls and ingredients on to the counter. "I'm mortified."
"Me too." Nelek said weakly. "They must think we're like rabbits."
"At the very least," Aislyn. Her voice trembled and she wiped her nose quickly to hide a sniffle as she turned toward the other side of the room.
Nelek stood up when he heard the tremble in Aislyn's voice. He went over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
Aislyn sniffled loudly and leaned against him, her hands resting on Nelek's. "I can't believe this has happened."

"No....that I...that we...in front of Papa....Aron....the Inn..."
"Oh, yes." Nelek's face reddened again. "There must be somehting in the air."
Aislyn gave him a small smile. "Or the water maybe. I think we should stay low for the week, what do you think?"
"That sounds good." Nelek said and kissed Aislyn's cheek.
"Good," Aislyn giggled. "I should put a sign in the shop window about being closed." She paled slightly. "I still don't like the idea of going in there, I don't feel safe there."
"You'll be safe." Nelek assured her, "I'll be with you."
"After we eat, we'll put the sign up." Aislyn grinned. "Then we can have our second honeymoon."
"mmm. I'll close the drapes and light some candles." Nelek said.
"I'll make some whipped cream and different pastries and sweet things," Aislyn grinned with anticipation.
"You'll make me fat." Nelek teased.
Aislyn slipped her arms around Nelek. "We'll work it off."
Nelek grinned and kissed the nape of her neck. He carefully looked around to make sure they were alone in their own kitchen.
"Lock the door that connects to the Inn. I'll make certain the kitchen door is locked," Aislyn told him. "And the one to the shop."
"All right." Nelek reluctantly stepped away from Aislyn. He checked to make sure that the bar was in place and engaged the lock.
