In The Garden With Caroline

[Spunky]

Jasmine took her time as she walked through the garde, smelling the
flowers and watching the insects as they buzzed around the flowers.

Caroline watched the girl who had such blind faith in Aislyn. Caroline
nearly snorted. Oh, she knew all too well that Aislyn pretended to
have a loving heart but the girl was in for a major disappointment
when the time came for Aislyn to have a child. Her own children would
always be preferred to one who's been adopted.

[Spunky]

Jasmine sat down on a nearby bench, swinging her legs as she watched
the birds and insects interact with the garden and it's flowers. "I
love listening to the bird's songs, it relaxes me and makes me feel
happy." She said with a smile, her legs still swinging back and forth.
She had every right to trust and love Aislyn and Nelek, they had taken
her in when she lost her family and treated her as if she were thier
own child. They helped her move on after Tala's death, as did Starr,
the collie that was once Tala's companion. Jasmine felt Tala's spirit
all around her and heard her laughter as if she were still alive
today.

Caroline sat down next to her. "My favorite thing to do in a garden is
watch the soft breeze flow through the grass and flowers. It allows my
imagination to take me on journeys to the fantastic. I think of little
tales involving the fae and other mystical beings."

Jasmine's legs stopped swinging as she observed the garden. "I love to
imagine that unicorns and other mysticals live near the village.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if they did exsist?" She closed her eyes as a
breeze blew, inhaling the scents of the garden.

[Cindy]

Caroline nodded. "Yes, it would be. But then, what would we have to dream about and imagine?" She reached down and plucked a daisy, running her fingers over the petals.

"There wouldn't be much to dream about, would there?" Jasmine asked,
watching as Caroline picked the daisy.
A butterfly landed on a nearby flower, closing and opening it's wings
as it drank the flower's nectar. Jasmine watched it quietly, watching
as it flew to another flower.

Jasmine stood and walked around the small area as Caroline became
quiet, giving her a chance to attack from behind if she wanted.

"I should be going, I'm sure my parents are wondering where I am."
Jasmine said, suddenly walking towards the garden's exit.

[Muffin Puffin]

"I am certain they have no idea you are even gone," Caroline said scornfully. "Especially if they have a little one on the way. All of their attention will be on them."

[Spunky]

Jasmine turned to face Caroline, obviously not knowing Aislyn was
pregnant. "And I am certain if there was a little one on the way they
would give me just as much attention, they'd love me just as much."

[Muffin Puffin]

Caroline frowned. It was obvious to her that this young girl was setting herself up for a huge disappointment. "We shall see, I suppose. Aislyn is very single minded though, so unfortunately for you, I feel things will be very different then you expect."

Jasmine frowned at Caroline, she sounded as if she were jealous of
Aislyn, or maybe she was jealous of the Buckleys. "I know they'll be
tired and cranky for the first few months, but I am willing to help
my new family. I've had experiance with babies before, I helped my
birth mother with Jimmy." Sadness filled her eyes for a moment as she
thought of her birth mother and tears could be seen streaking down her
face.
