Hello, I'm using TMS320f28335 ezdsp with OS Win10 and CCS v5.2.1. It worked on the same desktop before, but unfortunately, today it shows "Error initializing emulator" in CCS and "Unknown device" in Device Manager. After I unistall and re-install driver several times, it shows "the drivers for this device are not installed(code 28)" in Device Manager. What should do to solve this problem?
Is there anyway to fix this or is it bust? It seem like it installs the drivers when I remove the device and plug it back in, however still shows the error afterward. I have tried all the driver stuff suggested but have no ideas.
Hi there,
I am currently facing a problem to install the 'RS 232 PL2303 USB' to 'serial convertor' driver. It is been displayed as code 28, i.e. The drivers for this device are not installed and There are no components for the device.
I have tried many driver programs and i could not find a solution.
Can you guys please suggest me a way to proceed.
Thank you.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and my 3210xi All-in-One is working perfectly but is reporting errors in Device Manager. I've done the obvious things -- I've downloaded the latest software from hp.com (the filename is AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe) and tried to get windows to find a driver but can't seem to get rid of the message. There's also nothing useful that I found in the MS KB. Anyone have any suggestions please? Thanks!
I have the same problem on my computer. The printer works, but the device manager says that there are no drivers present. I tried the suggested solution. When the device manager looked in the selected folder, it said that the driver wasn't there.
If you could post your product number for your printer. I am linking an HP Support document below that will show you how to find your product number. As well, if you could indicate which operating system you are using. And whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit as with this and the product number we can provide you with accurate information.
I can't remember ever having such problem with this... I have set the phone to "USB-troubleshooting" (or what the correct term is in English..) and the drivers previously installed for using it as a mass-storage-device are unistalled.
Go to device manager, select GT I9100 from the list, right click > properties, select Update driver, then Browse my computer for software, then Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, select SAMSUNG Electronics Co., Ltd. > SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface, and install it.
1) Enable USB debugging on your device.2) Connect your device with a USB cable to your computer. Your Windows OS (vista or win7) will automatically install the required drivers.3) You can check of the device is connected by executing adb devices from your windows command prompt. It should list the serial no. of your device.

As a Windows user, you may often encounter a problem when your system does not identify the connected device. In this case, Device Manager contents an unknown device and you will see a message in its Device status box: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28).
Code error 28 is a device manager error code that mainly happens to video card, sound card or USB devices. This error can also occur on a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7/8/10 on an Ethernet Controller or Bluetooth.
Step 3: Under Other Devices, navigate to Base system device. Right-click it and choose Uninstall to uninstall it. Then, Windows 10 will start to search for the latest Base System Device driver for t your computer.
While trying to instal PXI-6541 in PXI-1036 chassi with PXI 8360 controller[express-8360 on laptop side] , getting the error message "This device cannot start [Code 10]" Laptop is Lenovo T60 with latest BIOS
i'm seeing two PCI to PCI bridges with a "?" . when i try to update driver, restart, and look in the device manager, there seems to be twice the number of devices in the chassis. In fact i had to install the driver two times for each card in the chassis. But every time, the same error code 10 meassage comes.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having so many issues with getting your Expresscard 8360 working on your Lenovo. I recommend that we first look into Device Manager in more details. You mentioned that there were question marks (?) on certain devices. This usually means that there are devices on your PC that do not have any associated hardware drivers. For the Expresscard 8360, the drivers should be native to the Windows system, so I am unsure if those "?" do belong to this portion of the system. We can test this out by removing the expresscard 8360 and see if the "?" are still present. These "?" can be from the internals of the PC or modules that you've attached. If you've restored your operating system recently, it could be from the peripherals of your computer in which case you will need to find and install the chipset drivers. This can also be from the modules that you in your chassis, assuming that you haven't installed the necessary drivers for them, in which case you can find them on the Driver CD you have.
The exclamation mark (!) in Device Manager usually signifies a problem with getting the hardware started/operational. From your earlier posts I believe that the "!" is related to the Error Code 10 that you are receiving. Assuming that the correct power sequence was performed, chassis then PC, this is representative of a BIOS compatibility issue. Essentially this is occuring because the BIOS of the motherboard is not correctly allocating the necessary resources to all the devices as it is supposed to. Since you already have the latest BIOS, I would recommend that you try using the MXI Express Compatibility Software, here ni.com/beta. This is something that National Instruments created in order to correct for the incorrect resource allocation of the PC. It is not a beta program, it is only on the site so that we can manage it more easily. I have seen Lenovo T60 laptops work with this software installed.
Can, This sounds like a great solution. I went ot the link and registered. Its telling Approval pending. Even mailed mxiebi...@ni.com for help in speeding up approval.Still pending. Please help in speeding up. Lots of days work is gated due to this.
I am having very similar problems with a Lenovo T60p, PXI-8360 bridge, and PXI-1006 Chassis. The device manager seems to have identified the 8360 correctly, but cards in the chassis get two entries and they have "!" and give error code 10 when I tried to install drivers. Also, when I veiw the configuration in MAX, there is a message that says "The Chassis has been identified but is not described in the pxisys.ini for the system".
A friend of mine approached me yesterday about his PC behaving strange(Everything looking clunky and big). After a short inspection i discovered the Graphics driver to be damaged. The Error message was "An error occured. The driver needs to be reinstalled". Ive tried by removing the device restarting and trying an older driver (I think 24.... something) and the most up to date driver with the auto install tool from Intel. But both failed, also the Windows path via "Update Drivers". Everything is failing with the error "The system couldnt find the file (translated from German)". My friend stated that there was probably an update made during the night as it had rebooted. This system has run over years all day without an issue. In windows update i found an Update regarding .Net Framework. In the drivers section there were multiple drivers missing. Mostly drivers regarding the chipset. I removed the Update and installed all of those drivers succesfully. But the Graphics driver does not appear in Windows Update.
Whats odd: the file is there ive checked that path and the file is there. I also tried to copy everything from that directory and installing the driver manually by pointing windows to that directory but i get the same error.
1- In Windows* Device Manager under "Display Adapters" do you see the entry for Intel HD Graphics 530? Does the device have an exclamation mark error (yellow bang) or an error code? Could you please share some screenshots?
Checking the screenshots, it seems that no recent Intel driver is installed on the system and the Graphics Controller (GPU) is being detected just as a general device under "Other devices" >> "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)".
Do you know if there was an upgrade on this computer (either an OS upgrade or CPU upgrade) without doing a "fresh/clean Windows OS installation" that may relate to the point when the issue first occurred?
If you need more help, please refer to the step-by-step example and instructions in this article How to Install an Intel Graphics Driver in Windows 10 & Windows 11* under the section "Method 2: Manually install the driver from the Intel Download Center".

Can someone please help me with a start to finish, step by step procedure to create a custom driver and installing a device with that custom driver? Example, I have a couple of LifX bulbs and they're listed as customer drivers.
First you need to find the custom DH code you want to install.
Copy the DH code to your clipboard.
In the HE hub select Drivers Code from the menus.
At the top you will see New Driver.
Click on it, copy in your code and save.
When you discover your new device it will allocate it a driver. It may be the one you just defined, if not, select your device from the devices menu.
Now click on the Type field.
From here you select the correct DH and save.
