Got a little bored waiting for the alpha so i decided to share some tips i used while hunting dragon balls. I didnt know where to put this thread so i just thought general discussion was the best place, sorry mods.
These are the dragon balls you collect when leveling up in your native zone when you first start. You should Collect them! You get a good package to help you level through Korin untill you become an adult. I would strongly reccomend it becuase it gives you a Dragon Radar Chip you can use to hunt T2 Dragon balls. Especially if you are new.

I don't know what else you can grab becuase i never made a wish with these. I'm a noob lol. You get them from doing the PVP Dragon ball Hunt: Scramble. Its usually its own channel and you can turn it on. Its pretty much PK time when you see a star flashing below other players, but of course like many other games the safe zones are towns. I think you have to be at least level 45? Or something around those lines. Anywhere in the world is a war zone. Pretty much, the T3 dragon balls are all over the world in stone. Players kill each other over the balls untill one person has all 7 and makes a wish. I forget if you had to wait untill the end of scramble before you could make the wish...but its an all out brawl.
When the dragon ball 1 star icon (green kinda teal star) appears on your icon shortcuts, its time to start hunting! I dont know what DBOG's times will be so i cant tell you what the times are. Look on your mini map and if you have your dragon radar chip in your scouter you will sometimes see a mob icon replaced with a dragon ball icon. If you kill that mob it will possibly drop a T2 Dragon ball...if i had to give it a percent, i would say 5% drop rate with normal mobs. I farmed for 3 hours 1 weekend and got 1, next week like 13, next week like 4. Its random and the drop rate is wierd.
- When you drop a dragon ball, as soon as the mob died you will hear a unique sound letting you know you just dropped one! It sounds like...the best way i can describe it is......"A Light Orb Emmiting a soft glow". thats the best i got in here...work with me >_>
- When you drop a dragon ball it will show up as clear orb, becuase it doesnt know which ball you need yet. If you have dragon balls already, it will become 1 of the 7 you need to finish your collection. If you already have all 7, it will become a useless blank ball you cant do anything with, it used to be for a recipe in the crafting business but crafting was reworked and you can't use the blank dragon balls for anything. Maybe the Dev team can change that later, when we come up with a better idea for blank balls.
- You can only drop a dragon with a mob 5 levels in your range above and below. So for example if im going to hunt for dragon balls and im level 25. I would kill mobs 20-30 in level. But its better to kill mobs around your level for the best chance or so ive herd.
- When dropping a ball and another player see's you and trys to steal it, no worries. Its yours for at least 60 seconds and nobody can pick it up...but after that time limit runs out its free game for anyone.
Probbably the most important thing about dropping dragon balls is that the chance is high the more powerful the mob is. Just like dropping gear.
There diffrent types of mobs and by types i mean rank.
Thanks for taking the time to read my bad grammer giude to getting you to drop your dragon balls! Hope it helps and good luck to you all. Also a huge shoutout to the development team for making all this possible.
Keep repeating this until you have collected all the 7 Dragon Balls. I think this is the easiest way of hunting DragonBalls because you are constantly fighting Supers which increase the chance of dropping a DragonBall.
I did what Spark did, except I did it at the end of one of the starter map dungeons (several Supers and a Boss). Unlike the dino area, there weren't a bunch of people trying to farm there, so I could switch channels for multiplied results and, since the monsters were all grouped together (at least in the namek dungeon), one AOE skill wiped them clean pretty fast (in my case, using a turtle hermit character).
I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to Death, Nor known to Life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray,Blade Works
Well for me when i went above lvl 40 i never got any dragon balls, i hunted dragon balls below lvl 20 and they were a lot easier like 1 in 4 chances i got dbs. for me.
For me higher lvl i hunted for a week never got a dragon ball (guess its luck).

Sarcasm on the internet sucks, I can't belive yall thought I was hoping for a super slug.
But to all of you newies, I suggest if you want to get dragon balls fast you have to calculate some things.
1) When hunting season is out, you KNOW everyone is going to want to transform so all area's and all spots will most likely be taken over.
2) People WIIL try to steal mobs from you, alls fair in dragon balls and wishes.
3) YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT TRADE DRAGONBALLS
with all things considered, what would be the best way to farm dragon balls?
hit level 30, get flight, fly around the world for higher rank mobs, boxes, urns, pots(not level, I mean super, ultra, etc) and slay them.
get in, get out, and continue your search.

In Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 Shenron can be summoned by collecting seven Dragon Balls and using them at the Dragon Ball Pedestal. Initially, eleven wishes are available, but five more can be added by Guru.
Dragon Balls appear as Important Items in the player's Bag. Each Dragon Ball is unique and the player can only carry one of each at a time. The Dragon Balls can be obtained by defeating Patrollers in Parallel Quests. Collecting Dragon Balls as an objective in Parallel Quests do not effect the number of Dragon Balls carried by the player. After defeating each time patroller, if the time patroller drops a dragon ball you will see a message stating "You Got: Key Item".
Selecting "Retry" or "Return to Character Selection" will not change the appearance, statistics, or the items held by the spawned time patrollers for that run, so if you don't obtain any you must either complete the PQ or select "Return to Conton City" before trying again. Using your scouter, you can determine the level of the Time Patrollers before fighting them, which may give you an idea of which ones to take out first.
In general, it's best to switch between at least two or more PQ instead of grinding the same one over and over again, as once you get a dragon ball from one PQ it's less likely to get another one if you run it consecutively over and over again. It's also less repetitive when you're not running the same PQ over and over again.
Goku, still having a tail at the time, stared at the moon, causing him to turn into a Great Ape, multiplying his speed, strength and agility by ten. He grew so strong that he was able to destroy the stronghold Pilaf had been working on for a while. He was eventually shot down by one of Pilaf's missiles.
Goku nearly dies after an assasin named Mercenary Tao comes after him so he decides to climb Korin's Tower and drink the Divine Water. He trains under Korin for a few days until he's ready to defeat Tao, climbing down and killing him once and for all.
Goku goes to Fortuneteller Baba's place so he can learn where the last Dragon Ball is. Because he doesn't have enough money to ask directly he has to fight Baba's fighters alongside the other Z-Fighters.
After 3 years of training the now 15-year-old Goku fights in the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai. After Tien-Shinhan breaks Yamcha's leg Goku fights to get his revenge. In the end, Tien wins because Goku hits a truck.
Goku gets even stronger after eating some food, potentially even getting a zenkai. He easily kills Tambourine and teams up with Yajirobe to fight Demon King Piccolo. He's beaten easily and retreats to Korin's Tower.
Goku easily overpowers Piccolo and almost kills him with a Super Kamehameha, even when Piccolo became a giant. But Goku let down his guard and was mortally wounded through the shoulder by a blast from Piccolo. But in the end, Goku won, and ended up sparing his life.
Son Goku's brother, Raditz, has arrived on earth. Goku was confused, but Raditz explained that Son Goku was an alien, and he was sent to earth to exterminate life on the planet. Raditz easily defeats Goku without any difficulty and kidnaps his son, and promised to return him until he agrees to join forces with him.
Goku and Piccolo split up. Goku fought Raditz alone to buy time for Piccolo to charge up his Special Beam Cannon. Goku also charged up a powerful Kamehameha, which Raditz's scouter detected had risen his power level to 924, but was barely enough to do serious damage to Raditz.
After his death from his previous battle with Raditz, Goku trained on King Kai's planet for a year (six months actually, because it took him six months to cross the snake road) and had grown much stronger. His power level is now around 8,000. While suppressed, his power level was around 5,000, according to Vegeta's scouter. He was able to toy around with Nappa and had no real problems with him, until he opened fire a Mouth Canon.
