Saat phere began as a story of a dark sweet multi talented middle class simple girl. Saloni . saloni was always mistreated and cursed by her mom ambika. But truly loved by her dad narpatsingh. Her younger sister treated her like a dirt as shubhra was too proud of her color and beauty. Saloni had a best friend named Neel who always treated her nicely and taught her how to sing. Ambika always worried about Saloni fixed her enagement with kunjansingh an aiyash thakur. Padma puts a condition she will marry her son only if they give dowry. Saloni's brother samar was trapped by girl name kaveri. Kaveri when found out that samar is going to get engage to a girl for saloni's dowry. She begged and convinced samar to marry her on samar's engagement day. Saloni then refused to marry kunjan singh and return the ring to Padma. Padma made her take back ring and ask Narpat to arrange for money. Kunjan one day take out saloni and try to force himself upon her. Saloni slapped him and later they broke relation. Saloni sent her friend Neel to city to make his career. Neel was attacked by a man who was jealous seeing rewa and neel. Saloni seeing Neel on the tv fighting for his life ran away from the house and found neel. She found out Neel needed money to save his life. She participated in talent hunt and got 4 lakh rupees and paid for his surgery. When she got back home Ambika refused to take her back. But her Bua gayatri convince them. Shubhra one time went to club house and watched a sword fight between Nahar singh and some other opponent instantly fell in love with Nahar. Luck has it Nahar saved shubra's life. Narpat upon Ambika's asking for money for saloni's dowry tried to commit sucide. Saloni then convince every one that she does not want to marry. Kunjan tried to force upon saloni when she had gone out to get some medical reports from the car. Dhananjay their driver saved Saloni who had soft heart for Gayatribua. Saloni filed charges and kunjan was arrested later released upon padma's begging saloni and Mannobhabhi.
