Hi,
I bought this app maybe a decade ago. I've always loved it and started out using two android devices. One as a renderer and one to operate the other. However, possibly 2 years ago or so I lost the ability to do this and I can't figure out why. Current setup (and the setup that worked fro at least 2 years before just stopping) is I have a Galaxy S20+ and my old Galaxy S7. I load plug a headphone cord into the S7s jack (connected to receiver and speakers) and open BubbleUPnP on it. I then open BubbleUPnP on my S20+ however no matter what I do I can't find my S7 renderer. It used to work fine and then one day (I'm sure after an update) it just stopped showing up.

My S20+ can find all sorts of renderers, my two Sony smart TVs, my sony portable smart speaker and like 5 or 6 other devices and they all work fine. BUT, it can't find any BubbleUPnP renderer loaded onto any android phone or tablet (I've tried at least 5).

Can anyone tell me what happened/what changed?

More importantly, can someone tell me the configuration on the S7 I need to use to have the BubbleUPnP renderer be broadcast or appear.

What's even weirder is my S20+ can see and use the S7 server...I can play the audio from the S7 on my S20+, it simply cannot use it as a renderer which unfortunately is why I bought the app in the first place!

Any help appreciated!

Thanks
Ben

Hi.

Can you check that 'More > Settings > Local renderer > Allow remote control' is enabled ?
This settings(making the renderer discoverable) was enabled by default for years, until May 2024 where I made it disabled by default (because most users do not need it).
