Howdy all,
do we know if bubble streams the new FLAC format from tidal?

Streaming directly from phone to a marantz receiver (MQA was not an option and tidal direct is not existing either)

Any suggestions for tests?

Hi,

From what I understand, HiRes FLAC will not be available to third party apps before the end of the year.

It looks like it's plain flac, and it works with bubbleupnp, I daily stream my own.

I did some tests and nope, so far only flac 44.1/16 are streamed (even high rez flacs).
Same on the HEOS app.

Maybe some day...

Thanks for the prompt answer.
I am not the most tech savy, flac being an open format how can they restrict it to third parties like yourself?

Thanks

App would have to specifically request for HiRes FLAC and TIDAL does not make it possible for anything else than their apps currently.
Why is understandable as it is still early.
