mp3 Transcoding not working

Hi,

when I play a FLAC-Track on BubbleUpnP for Android from a media server which is made available through BubbleUpnP Server, the track renders in LPCM for transcoding settings 128–320 kbps. Only for 64 kbps it gets transcoded to 64 kbps OGG.

Audio transcoding support is green in BubbleUpnP Server Web-Config and I also waited to be shure the remote media server is connected as recommended here.

Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

Can you send me (bubblesof...@gmail.com) the full BubbleUPnPServer log file ?

it is named 'BubbleUPnPServer.log.0' and located in the install directory.

For all of you with a Pixel 6 or 7: After sending over the server log, Bubblesoft wrote:

It shows that transcoding to mp3 (at 192Kbps) works fine.

However if your Android is a Pixel 6 or 7, Android BubbleUPnP force mp3 decoding to be done via FFmpeg,
which would display LPCM or WAV in the 'Now Playing' tab. Reason is that the system http mp3 decoder can be buggy
on this device resulting in track playback sopping mid-track.
Is your Android device a Pixel 6 or 7 ?
In any case, there is nothing to worry about.«

And yes, my device is a Pixel 6. I just checked on another device and it shows MP3, as described by Bubblesoft.
