I love BubbleUPNP, I have a Samsung S10e that is dedicated to it and listen to music on a high end system all day every day with it.  Streaming Tidal to a Holo RED right now.

I have a huge Tidal music library.  And so I need to use the fast scroll feature to get to the bottom  (or even the middle) of the list without slowly swiping, which woud take 10 minutes for me to get to the end of the list.  But it's really frustrating trying to use the fast scroll feature as it currently is implemented in BubbleUPNP because when I slow down it stops working and then I have to swipe fast on the right side of the screen to get into fast scroll mode and I loose the spot I was in the list of artists/albums and have to start over trying to find an artist.

it would be transformative to my experience using BubbleUPNP if there was just a scroll tool on the right of the screen that was always there, so I could fast scroll and slow down when I got close to the right artists, or use the fast scroll to move slowly through my list and browse.

Swiping just doesn't work.  And it's endlessly frustrating having the fast scroll constantly stop working when I go too slow and I have to start over again.

This could Bev an option in settings, to turn on a fast scroll knob on the right of the screen that doesn't disappear.

The Tidal iOS app has this feature (not the Android version for whatever reason) and it's really nice, but I prefer using BubbleUPNP.

Thanks!L

Here's a screenshot of the fast scroll knob in Tidal iOS.  It does disappear, but it re-appears the moment you swipe at all, and once you use the fast scroll knob, you can go as slow as you want, it doestn' just stop working when you slow down.

Hi,

The Android fast scroller (which is a system component) always caused me some problems in term of behavior across Android versions.
The current behavior of the  fast scroller disappearing after 1 second when you do not move it is not standard behavior
but a kludge I added to fix another problem I cannot remember.
I agree that 1 second is a bit short. I can increase it to 3 seconds before it disappears, which should largely fix this annoyance for your use case
(sometimes stopping scrolling the fast scroller and wanting to scroll fast again).
So i will change that disappearance to 3 seconds in next update.

Thank you!

Is there any way to add a permanent fast scroll knob that just sits on the right side and looks like the Tidal app in my screenshot?  It doesn't get in the way at all, there's no use of the right side of the screen in that list view.  So I don't see a downside, just a realliy nice feature.

thank you again!

There is no permanent fast scroll thumb. Last I tried it, it caused problems, hence how it works currently.
With the change I mentioned for the next app update, it should solve your problem as the fast scroll thumb will disappear after 3 seconds
instead of 1 seconds when it did not move.

Thank you so much for adding this feature so quickly, it has made the app and my life (because I listen to music constantly) so much better.
