WiiM have released a new beta firmware where they're relaying the audio that's playing through the device (be it a radio/streaming/UPnP source) to third party DLNA renderers.
I was hoping that I'd be able to proxy Chromecast devices with BubbleUPnP Server and send the audio to the group, but whilst it appears to work (I hear the Google Cast connection sound and see track progress in the WiiM app) there's no audio.
As a test I used BubbleUPnP as a renderer and it worked although with quite a significant delay - I think because it transcoded the stream. I enabled logging in BubbleUPnP and here are some of - what look like - the pertinent details.
