TIDAL Hires MQA

This request is for TIDAL streaming.  BubbleUPnP supports TIDAL Hires Lossless.  However, there is no option for Hires MQA, even for passthrough.

Currently (outside of BubbleUPnP) when TIDAL MQA track is selected, the bitrate is up to 48kHz 24-bit (constant bitrate) without any unfolding required.  If the DAC is MQA capable, higher bitrate will be shown by the DAC.

This option is important when searching for albums or artist where only CD quality is listed by BubbleUPnP even though the Hires MQA version is available when searched via TIDAL native app.

BubbleUPnP should have Hires MQA as an option, and list the albums/tracks with suffix 'M'.  Let the MQA signal passthrough to the DAC.

MQA is not supported in BubbleUPnP for various reasons and will never be supported.

It is largely on the way out on TIDAL.

You do not need to support MQA.  Just do not filter out albums with MQA.  Passthrough works fine.

As I mentioned, they are better than CD quality.  Only limited albums are Hires Lossless.  There are a lot more Hires MQA still available in TIDAL.

For TIDAL to deliver MQA to BubbleUPnP, it requires a special authorization from the MQA estate.

No plan for it for a dying proprietary format.
