Problem overcome. The BubbleSoft person kindly solicited and reviewed log files. They showed the program
was connecting with the Minimserver library. The problem was that, despite being a long-time user, I got confused about the user interface.
For those who may be interested in the UI problem and how to find DLNA libraries in BubbleUPnP, here is what I recall happening.
* In the evening I routinely put the Windows PC on which Minimserver runs to sleep. The next morning I pick up the Samsung tablet. I tried to connect to the Minimserver library with BubbleUPnP. Of course, the library was not to be found. I'd realize this and wake up the PC.
* But I could not find the Minimserver library in BubbleUPnP (and wound up through all the above tests wrongly concluding that BubbleUPnP was not connecting to it). As I recall, I was in a situation where tapping the folder icon at the bottom right did not list the Minimserver library.
* The key: at this point the top of the BubbleUPnP screen has a row labeled Audio Inputs. (See screen captures below.) The row has several icons. There are four on the right, none of which help find libraries. Between the Audio Inputs label and these four icons, more or less in the middle of the row, there is a down-carat. The symbol is smaller than the four to the right. I believe my problem was that I completely overlooked it.
* If you tap down-carat, the first item on the dropdown menu is: Select library... You must tap on it and a then a popup menu will offer all the libraries BubbleUPnP has currently connections to. That's it.
