Thanks for getting back to me. I'm actually running
BubbleUPnP Server
on a Synology NAS
(DSM 6.2.3-25426). To be completely honest my knowledge of firewalls and so on is a bit limited, but I don't think the configuration of the NAS, or indeed my router, is restricting or preventing any internal connections, I also run MinimServer from the NAS and there's absolutely no problems with that.
Incidentally, I've just fired up OpenHome Player and used BUbble UPnP on that - I can control the volume of that from Kazoo and it can access Tidal, yet I still can't do likewise if
upmpdcli is the renderer. There is a sort of workaround to this inability which entails setting up
upmpdcli to act as both an OpenHome and UPnP/AV renderer simultaneously and switching to its OpenHome
service when I want to change the volume level , then switching back again to its
UPnP/AV
service to continue with Tidal, but that isn't great. It would be good to know if you have further thoughts about this - thanks. R
