Volume control partly fails for Openhome renderer

I've started to use the new bubbleupnpserver for my Denon AVR X6400H. It works now but sometimes creating a new playlist fails with error 501. But mostly it works. Maybe the old Denon bug is not completely fixed?

But more annoying, volume control from within bubbleupnp app only works partly: one can move the volume slider, volume changes, but volume level displayed stays at -1. The hard volume rocker keys don't work at all. These problems only arise for the Denon Openhome renderer using bubbleupnpserver. If streaming directly without bubbleupnpserver everything works fine including volume control.
