Hi!

Bubbleupnp is great!

When using [win11 + foobar2000 + foobar upnp component -> Android 14] if I have a particularly long filename such as:

04 - Gustav Theodore Holst Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda (third group, 1909-10) - translated from the Sanskrit by Gustav Holst - Hymn Of The Travellers.flac

Bubble will be able to see it normally and enqueue it, but when it comes to play it the pause button with turn into the play button and pressing further won't do anything. Everything else works fine, for instance you can skip it.

Is there some fix for this? Or does anyone know of a utility to safely truncate filenames automatically?

Thanks for your help!
Aleck

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in BubbleUPnP.

- Is that file stored on your PC (foobar2000) or on your Android device ?
- are you playing it to your PC (foobar2000) or on your Android device ?

In any case, please send me (at bubblesof...@gmail.com) a log file, attempting to play a track that fails to play:

- launch the app
- go into More > Settings > Control
- Enable "logging to file" (at the end of the page).
- IMPORTANT: Exit the app (More > Exit)
- restart the app
- attempt to play a track that fails to play
- exit the app (More > Exit)
- email me the files found on internal storage:

On Android 10 and below:

/Android/data/com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp/log.txt
/Android/data/com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp/prev_log.txt (if present)

On Android 11 and higher:

/Downloads/com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp_log.txt
/Downloads/prev_com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp_log.txt (if present)

You can access them with a file manager app and share them to your email app for sending them.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to not restart BubbleUPnP until you have sent or saved the log file as it is overwritten on app startup.

Hi!
Thanks for your response!

The file is stored on an external NTFS HDD. Foobar2000 is used as a upnp server.
- are you playing it to your PC (foobar2000) or on your Android device ?
I'm playing the file on my android device.

Extra Info:
I can play the files with no problems directly through foobar2000 on my PC.

I'll send the log promptly.

Thank you!
Aleck
