I am using using BubbleUPnP  on QNAP and Arylic DIY Network Player Board and Xiaomi Network Speakers as Media Renderers.

My problem is that I dont keep these speakers 'On' all the times and power interruption is a common thing in my geo location.

I see the my endpoints getting removed from list of available Media Renders after a while they are switched off. But they don't appear back once switched off, unless I restart the BubbleUPnP server.

I tried setting below in configuration.xml
<blastAliveInterval>30</blastAliveInterval>
and (for one Media renderer)
<openHomeUseEventing>false</openHomeUseEventing>

but of no avail.

The Media Renderer Thread should be schedulable from UI so that such scenarios dont need service restart.

Thanks

Hi,

The 2 settings you mention have nothing to do with the problem you describe.

Normally, these renderers should show up when switched on if they advertise themselves properly on the network.
Something you can test easily:

- stop BubbleUPnP Server
- switch off renderer
- start BubbleUPnP Server
- switch on renderer
Does the renderer appear in the Renderers list ?
If it doesn't, the renderer does not properly advertises its presence on the network on switch on
A reboot of your WiFi router may help. And make sure its firmware is up to date.

Hi,

same problem here with Arylic A50 also via WIFI. Renderer appears only if the bubbleUPNP-Server has been restarted.
It's even in many cases the first renderer showing and others follow later.

Restarting Arylic or WiFi-AP, Switch, etc. doesn't help.
Having Arylic up and running and afterwards bubbleUPNP-Server is the only working procedure.
Turning Arylic off and later on without doing anything on the bubbleUPNP-Server results in missing Arylic renderer.

It looks as if the advertisment is only correctly processed, when the bubbleUPNP-Server has been freshly started.

Anything what could help to nail down the root cause and where I can help?
In the meantime I can check if the same behaviour occours when connected via network cable.

Regards,
Martin

Hi,

Looks like this renderer respond to device search requests (emitted by BubbleUPnP Server on startup) but does
not notify its appearance/disappearance on its own when it should.
Likely a problem with this renderer and there's not much BubbleUPnP Server can do here.
Make sure the renderer's firmware is up to date.
Could be a good idea to verify your router firmware is up to date too.
