Hi,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, on Android 14. I have a paid license for BubbleUPNP.
I enabled the local renderer, as well as the "Gapless playback" option. I did restart as instructed.

I then started JRiver Media Center 31 (also paid license) on my Windows 10 PC. I selected the BubbleUPNP renderer , and started playing the following album, ripped to FLAC files from the CD I bought new in 2002 :

https://www.discogs.com/release/19699906-George-Frideric-Handel-Byron-Schenkman-Harpsichord-Variations

There was quite a pause between the end of the second track and the start of the second track. Anything but perfect gapless is immediately obvious due to how the tracks are cut. The rest of the album has similar issues that require perfect gapless.

Is this a known issue ?

Is there any setting I can tune on either the BubbleUPNP or JRiver sides to fix this situation ?

If I browse DLNA servers in the BubbleUPNP app, select the Jriver MC server, and play the same album from it, it plays gaplessly perfectly.

I also have a Plex server (also paid for, there is a pattern), exposed as DLNA server, that contains the same album. In the BubbleUPNP app, I can browse this server, and select this album, and it also plays gaplessly perfectly.

If I play the same album in BubbleUPNP from Qobuz (I'm also a paid member), there isn't any gap at all on this album, as expected.

Thanks for any help !

Hi,

In JRMC you must enable its gapless control.
For this,  unckeck  'Playing Now > BubbleUPnP  (right-click to display context menu) > DLNA Controller options > Disable SetNext Support' .
This setting is enabled (checked) by default, actually disabling gapless control in MC.

Thanks ! That fixed it.
I would not have thought to look there.
