Manually Hiding the Bubbletip

How can I manually hide the bubbletip? Is see there is the internal
_Hide() function however I can't access this with anything I try. I
would like the bubble to stay open and then hide on other events.

It also would be nice if the bubble had a keepAlive option so the
bubble only closes when the bubbletop has a hover out event. Would
these be hard to add?
