re-use a single tip

Is it possible to re-use a single tip multiple time son the page? I am
using it for defining words. so if I have word 'X' used 20 times on
the page I would like all of the words hooked up to the same block of
HTML with the definition in it. The first word on the page hooks up
fine, the rest never do the hook up. I would hate to have to have the
definition in the HTML once for every time it is used on the page -
just seems silly.
