Delays in SMS gateway

I sent an SMS at around 1pm US time and it didn't arrive at my roaming
UK mobile 'phone until 1.17pm.

Is this delay in the SDK's SMS gateway, or to do with roaming?

For the project I have in mind, instant delivery is an important part
of the system behaviour.

Hi Cefn,

Sorry it took so long. I understand there are some issues with US
carriers transmitting messages in a timely fashion. Unfortunately
thats outside of our realm. I can say with confidence that *usually*
the message transmission is pretty much instant.
