1. No TA/DA will be paid
2. *Only Lunch *will be provided for all the three days
3. Accommodation for female participants is arranged on self payment basis
in VIT Ladies Hostels: Kindly contact Dr Anand Prem Rajan – 9486336444 on
arrival to VIT.
4. Accommodation for male participants can be availed in budget hotels on
self payment basis near chitoor bus stand (Distance: two kms to VIT).

*Reaching Vellore from Chennai:*
You can reach Vellore from Chennai either by train or by road.
*BY TRAIN:*
All west-bound trains from Chennai central go via Katpadi Railway Station to
several destinations such as Bangalore, Coimbatore, Trivandrum, etc. Travel
time is approximately 2 ½ hours; make sure you buy your ticket to Katpadi
which is the railway station that serves Vellore town.
After having alighted at Katpadi Railway Station, take an auto rickshaw to
VIT campus, a 3 km. drive. Typical charges are Rs.30 to Rs.40.**
*BY ROAD:
*Several state-owned buses operate from Koyambedu Bus Stand, Chennai, to
Vellore (new) bus stand from 04:00 am to 10:30 pm. Travel time is
approximately 3 hours.
After having arrived at the new bus stand in Vellore, take an auto rickshaw
to VIT campus, a 7 km drive. Charges vary from Rs.60 to Rs.80.
