Dear all,

The attached photographs are self-explanatory.  Why is it so difficult for us to comply even simple instructions such as not to through food waste in outside (department corridors) dustbins?  These photographs are taken at the second floor stairwell entry near my office (BT206).  The monkeys—two of them—dragged the food waste (whole lot of food) from the dustbin kept in front of the women’s toilet.

You may have seen a model bin proposed to be purchased being kept in the ground floor near the office. If the model requires modifications or is not suitable against monkeys, let me know. If people start using a protected bin, probably we can reduce this.

On a related monkey note, the second floor common room in BT-II has a window held open with a scaffolding rod. Monkeys have already left their prints on the wall.. only a matter of time before they ravage the hood inside. Same thing inside some lunch rooms as well... Every inch of the new building reeks of the carelessness of EU/contractors...

Best,
Karthik
