4-H Wildlife Stewards Educator Workshop:
Recording the Changes in Nature; Citizen Science Outdoors
Learn how to use phenology (the study of seasonal changes) to connect students to nature. We have a scientist from HJ Andrews Experimental Forest joining us to explore the options of connecting students to the greater scientific community through phenology monitoring and using phenology to track climate change. During the workshop we will be setting up a Phenology Trail in McDonald Forest, learning skills to transfer to your school or nature site.
Date: October 5, 2013
Time: 8:00 am – 10:00 pm (4-H Wildlife Steward Certification training)
10:00 am - 3:00 pm workshop
Location: Peavy Lodge, McDonald Forest, Corvallis
Cost: $20 (covers supplies & lunch)
Preregistration Required: Deadline September 27th
