I am reaching out today with some good news about the 4-H Natural Resources Position with OSU Extension Service Benton County. It has finally been re-opened by Extension for recruitment! I am happy to announce a new search committee has been formed and the posting for the position is now active, they are hoping to complete the hiring process by September. As many of you know, the 4-H Natural Resources Educator is a vital and active role that is involved in such programs as Get Outdoors Day, Wildlife in the Classroom, the Wildlife Summit at Finley, Weather Tracker and many more. Not to forget, they are also the manager of our very popular Education Kits and Ecology Cards. It is a fulfilling and rewarding position. Whoever takes on this position will have a lot of program updating and outreach on their hands, but they will inheriting a rich tradition of environmental education and a community eager for their engagement.
