Join us for the 11th Annual Dry Farming Collaborative Winter Convening. A collaboration between OSU Dry Farming Program and the Dry Farming Institute nonprofit. We gather to give updates on our collaborative projects; share successes, failures, lessons learned; plan for the next growing season; and discuss the future of the Dry Farming Collaborative.

This year's presentations will include:

• Clara Nicholls, UC Berkeley Professor, will present on Agroecological Approaches to Drought Adaptation
• Fabrizia Lanza, Sicilian cultural food expert, and Vincenzo Pisa, Sicilian farmer, present on: Why and how to dry farm tomatoes in the middle of Sicily: soil; management, varieties, and sustainability
• Anthony Reyes, Oxbow Farm, Carnation, WA, provides insights from dry farmed summer cover-cropping trials, as well as dry farm tomato and winter squash production.
• Matt Davis and Lucas Nebert present OSU Dry Farming Program Research updates on dry farm production of tomatoes, cowpea, and sorghum in Corvallis, Oregon
• Amy Garrett shares exciting updates and developments from the Dry Farming Institute

Focus group discussions will include:

• Dry farmed cut flowers collaborative research opportunities
• Dry farmed seed saving, breeding and adaptation
• Dry farm tomato production principles and practices
• Farmer-led dry farming research hubs discussion
• Dry farmed fruit trees and other perennials
• Western Arid Growers Network meetup
