Get funded for on-farm conservation
We are reaching out to let you know that the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has launched its
Regenerative Pilot Program.
This is a new opportunity from NRCS to apply for funding that will center “whole-farm holistic conservation planning” and “site-specific solutions” that work for your objectives and goals, utilizing investments from two existing programs: the Environmental
Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP).

How to Apply
The
deadline to apply is the same for all programs:
January 15, 2026.

First, see which programs are available in your county using this tool: “What’s
Available In My County?”

Then, contact your local NRCS office (find out where by using
this link) and let them know you would like to apply for EQIP or CSP funding. Note: Producers need to have a farm number from the USDA’s Farm Service Agency
(FSA) before applying.

Requirements
As part of participating in Regenerative Pilot Program, producers must:

Work with NRCS staff, partners, or technical service providers to conduct a
whole-farm assessment;

Use
at least one primary regenerative management practice (such as those included in
this list); and

Agree to perform
soil health testing in the first and last year of the contract (at a minimum) to establish a starting baseline and to record the resulting changes.
