Dear Members and Friends of the BSV (Buddhaloka and Sanghamittarama),
Please see below the updated news and program.
1. Ajahn Brahmali Retreat is now open for bookings to BSV Members only (non-members from 1st March’14)
This is what we have been waiting for. The retreat is now open for bookings. As there are limited spots for this retreat and given the expected huge interest in this retreat, the booking, at this stage, is open only to BSV members. So, BSV members, if you are interested in this retreat, please place in your booking now.
Non-members can place their bookings from Friday, 1st March 2014. We apologise if this priority process has offended anyone. We hope the community understand our difficult position as we would like to avoid the situation where BSV members were unable to get a spot in the retreat.
About the retreat:
The 8-precepts retreat will focus on development of Samatha (peaceful) meditation and Vipassana (insight inducing) practice. Samadhi meditation involves generating a calm and powerful mind. Vipassana practice involves the understanding of phenomena as being impermanent so that we can let go of bad habits, and experience true release. Most of the teachings will be based on the discourses of the Buddha, with detailed explanation.
