Godwin Adah, Commissioner for science and technology for Benue State
has disclosed that the government has established three special
technical colleges one in each senatorial district all of which are
well equipped with ICT browsing facilities.
Mr. Adah spoke with a group of publishers when he noted that besides
those three, more schools in the state were installed many computers
with internet facilitation in the Gov. Suswam’s mission of ‘Our Benue
Our Future’.
The commissioner took the publishers round the two ICT labs at the
ministry in Makurdi which contains state of the art computers and
internet browsing facilities which are used in training personnel from
all walks of life. With that the ministry of science and technology
has turned a consultant on ICT and hopes to entertain more requests
from the public on ICT training.
The ministry is constructing a multi-roomed technology complex with a
standard workshop which could be of service to the general public. Ada
told the publishers that Gov. Suswam had planned to leave behind a
state of the art science and technology legacy.
According to him, the state government had put in place machinery for
take off of the business incubation complex and that the federal
government and the state government would sign an MOU in February to
that effect.
