Be with us day and night – Gwer East submits to Aliegba

Wednesday September 25, 2014 the PDP Gwer East chapter hosted Dr
Eugene Aliegba at Aliede when they submitted to his governorship quest
saying: Gwer East is your home, be with us day and night and no one
will harass you.

Joe Tyungu the leader of Gwer LGA’s PDP had said Dr Aliegba was theirs
from birth and youth as his mother and grand mother all hailed from
Gwer LGA, and that during Aliegba’s youth Aliegba had worked at Aliede
for many years as information and protocol officer and was well known
by them; that Gwer East was home to Aliegba and they would be the very
first set of people to be with him in Govt House Makurdi if he hoists
power.

According to Joe Tyungu, Aliegba is handsome, hospitable, softspoken,
well educated, convincing and naturally made to be a governor; he has
been with and is well known by Gwer people; hence if any other person
comes looking for Gwer East’s votes as governor, Gwer East shall ask:
has Aliegba sent you?

Aliegba’s hosting at Gwer East had many dimensions: first all the
third class traditional rulers led by Ter Gwer II Chief Akpe had
received and blessed him in Jesus’ name to go and bring home the seat
of governor to the Gwer/Gwer West axis of Minda.

The rulers had stated that Aliegba was their son with his mother and
grand mother being their daughters and that records of his working at
Aliede as information/protocol officer showed Aliegba as a rightful
character fit for any responsible position.

Earlier the PDP stakeholders and executive council led by party
chairman Joe chichi had separately hosted Aliegba to a closed door
meeting when they acknowledged that even the state PDP movers and
shakers had favoured Alioegba as they pleaded that Aliegba should
carry all along when emerges the flag bearer of the party.

The event witnessed many aspects including dance and songs to
encourage Aliegba on his governorship campaign and a buffet dinner at
St Vincent’s hospital Aliede.
