Dear Friends,
Restaurant Day is a one-day carnival in favor of a free-spirited restaurant and food culture organized by volunteering individuals. Restaurant Day takes place anywhere in the world. It is a day when anyone and everyone is encouraged to open a pop-up restaurant, café or food joint in their own city.
In May 2012, we made an attempt and to our surprise, it was a great success. Just by sharing our event on Facebook, we could experience that how much Finns and international community is interesting in Indian food and culture. Moreover, we could meet and invite our neighbors to our home, which was something exciting in Finnish context.
This time, we can think of all of us - Indian families, students and our international friends, along with Finnish neighbors who are interested in Indian food, would come together and plan for a collaborative Restaurant Day.
We have booked a decent venue like Velantupa in Hervanta (on Teekarinkatu). Those who are interested to put up stalls or sell any interesting food items, are welcome.
We are expecting around 100+ Finns and International community to come and enjoy the event, so more and more stalls are welcome.
For more information on Restaurant Day, like visit
http://www.restaurantday.org and for putting up the food stall at Velantupa, please contact me on 0504839418.
Let's come together with Finns to enjoy and share food culture!
Regards,
Heramb
