It is indeed a good suggestion that members should introduce themselves..

I am Vashishtha Narayan Jha. My native place is Raiganj in North
Bengal.Before partition our native place was Thakurgaon(now in
Bangladesh). I came to Pune in 1968 for doing my Ph.d in Sanskrit and
joined the University of Pune thereafter. Recently I have retired from
the University after a very long service .Now settled in Pune. A lover
of music, culture and philosophy.
